We have two kids with Autism and our County does not have any device like this. They have Project lifesaver which is the same or similar but we are not qualified to receive because our County does not have it. We do to want to lose our kids. Our finances are very tight but would like info on grants that can help us get two of them. Do the police dept track the devices if you call them that your child is missing.
Hi Migdalia, This answer comes 6 months later, but have only just found this site… I live in NZ and I experienced the same thing here in this country. My son has Down Syndrome and is a wanderer to, for some DS children this is a part of the syndrome.
There was nothing here to help, so having made contact with a company in Australia, that let us trial a GPS locator, we are now the agents for this product in New Zealand. I am passionate about getting the information to parents that need the help just like I did.
